A handful of people have been asking about how I create the look of this image on the right. Pretty easy process and, to be honest, one that I stumbled across accidentally. When I pick up the film from the lab I look at the negatives on the light table through the loupe. If I like the image that I see, I’ll take a snapshot of the negative through the loupe with my iPhone 4. That creates the image that you see on the left. I then use Photoshop or an iPhone app (Negative Me!) to invert the image to what you see on the right. For me it’s a quick, fun way to see the image before I take the time to use my scanner.
